MINOR HOCKEY LEAGUE NEWS TADPOLES 11; Travelled to Picture Butte Satur­day, March 4 to a tournament and had a terrif­ic time winning all three games and the First Place trophy. In the first game Magrath beat Picture Butte 7-6 with goals by Tanner Godlon- ton 3-1; Darren Balderson 2, Dustin Ririe 1, Justin Schurmann 1, with 1 assist each to Mike Verbitsky and Darius Mandel. Joey Ripley was in goal. In the second game Magrath defeated Raymond 3-1. Goals by Dustin Ririe 1-1; Darius Mandel 1-1; Darren Balderson 1T Rhonda Strafe had 1 assist. Tanner Godionton was in goal. In the third and final game Magrath outscored Warner 10-5 with goals by Tanner Godionton 4-1; Darren Balderson 3-2; Justin Scharmann 1-1; Adam Mehew 1-1; Dustin Ririe 1, Jinmie Balderson 1 assist. Game 7 - ' 2nd place final between Magrath 11 and Warn­er earned second place for Magrath 11 with a 4-2 score and some heart stopping action. B.J. & Marge Rasmussen returned home recently from a 7 week visit to New Zealand They toured both islands and while on the Mil­ford Sound tour visited the birth place of Bessie Naylor Meldrum, Lloyd Meldrum's mother. Wreys Bush" is country similar to Southern Alberta, very flat with acres of sheep. The garage owner game them a calendar with pictures of the area to bring home to Lloyd.
