Saturday evening a turkey supper was held at the L. R. Jensen home in honor of Seade and Meade Coleman, Guests present were Misses Barbara Lamb, Shirley Clarke, Lavina Keeler and Gloria Harker. Henderson entertained the crowd Sunday at a chicken dinner in honor of Lester, while on Sunday Miss Shirley Clarke was hostess in honor of the three boys, Lester, Meade and Reade, who are leaving on L.D.S. John Blackmore who gave a few introductory remarks. Mr. Jorgenson’s talk was entitle "Drama of the Ages" and compar­ed the conditions when the Social Crefiit Govt, came to power withe present conditions. Short explanations of the aims of the Social Credit policy, debt-free money, etc. Hon. N. E. Tanner discussed the medical, and social im­provements in the Province that were being made and recent legislation passed to behefit citizens of the province. B. Old age pens­ions have been increased, and pensions for the blind with free service to rehabilitate those who have been thus afflicted. Mr. Tanner also explained recent educational legislation, and the Gasoline tax. He stat­ed in round figures the inc®me from gasoline sources was 10 million dollars and that this year the Govt, was spending over 13 million dollars on roads.At the conclusion of the meeting questions were asked. Palmer performed the ceremony in the presence of a number of relatives and friends. Out-of-town guests included Mr. & Mrs. Harry James, Mr. & Mrs. E. E. James', Sr. Mrs. & Mrs. Austin Bennett, Mrs. Rulon Thom­son of Magrath, the groom's grandmother Mrs Wynder of Cardston, Mr. & Mrs. Geo. Briggs of Picture Butte. About 7$ guests attended the reception held in the 1st Ward Recreat- ’ The L.D.S. t .rch in Welling was the scene of a pretty Wedding Monday after­noon, November 3rd when Miss Sharlene Nel­lie Lash, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Lash«of Del Bonita, formerly of Mag­rath, became the bride of Mr. Ted Walburg­er, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walburger of Del Bonita with Bishop Floyd Wilde per­forming the double-ring Qeremony. The bride, beautiful in a white lace gown and veil, carried a bouquet of red carnations and entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of Loh­engrin’s Bridal March played by Miss Marg­aret McBride of Raymond. The Matron of Honour, her sister Mrs. Kenneth Miller, was attired in a pink net gown and car­ried a matching bouquet of carnations. Her bridesmaid's were Miss Merle Godling-ton and Miss Noreen Henry, both of Del Bonita and wore pink and blue gown with Colonial bouquets of chrysanthemums and roses. The little flower girl was Miss Cheryl Seward, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Seward, looking very sweet in a yellow taffeta floor length dress with colonial bouquet matching the bridesmaids. Mr. Mick Walburger acted as best man for his brother.. Mrs. Lash and Mrs. Walburger, mothers of the bride and groom were charming in ensembles matching their corsages of Catalaya Orchids. , While the register was being signed v Mr. Ira McBride of Raymond accompanied by his daughter Margaret sang "Because." Pictures were taken by Moses Fromm, Photo­grapher of Raymond. Following the cerem­ony approximately 160 guests enjoyed the reception held in the recreation room of the church. A three tiered wedding cake centered the stage which was decorated with interlacing pink and white paper streamers. Mr. Ed Newton of Del Bonita and Mr. Ira McBride accompanied by Miss Edith Wilde and Miss Margaret McBride rendered vocal solos. Mrs. Ruth Bevins and Miss Edith Wilde of Welling played piano duets. A reading by Glen Stringham was given. Bishop Wilde toasted the bride to which the groom responded. A delicous lunch was served by the Welling Relief Society under the direction of Mrs. Floyd Wilde consisting of chicken and fruit salad, pickles and cheese balls, rolls, ice-cream and cake. There were many lovely presents which were attractively displayed on the gift table. The bride and her pother graciously thanked their many friends for their kindnesses and invited all to at­tend their wedding dance to be held Nov. 12th at the Del Bonita Hall. The young couple left for Great Falls on a honey­moon after which they will reside at Del Bonita. -M.B. ional Hall. Blumel, a daughter, Nov. 6th at the Magrath Municipal Hospital. The M. Hi S. Hs aween Party was start­ed with a bang and ended with a bang from the Spookroom to Home Sweet Home. Around 8 p.m. on that Hallowed eve creatures of all kinds (presumably M.H.S. students) haunted the upper hall of the high school, preparatory stop off for joking and guess­ing identities before being pushed into that darkness of horrors (commonly known as the Spookroom). Everyone end everything was required to pass through this bedlam,(most­ly consisting of bedsprings and ten-foot drops) before entering the main ballroom. Scon the party was in full swing and the melodious strains of our own M. H. S. Orch­estra accompanied the dancing and game playing. An interruption to the fun came long enough to hear a well-prepared programs Miss Barbara Ririe opened with a witty y reading followed by an original short-story by Miss Margarette Spencer, told in her own individula manner. In closing a skit under the direction of Miss Lavina Keeler left the audience shaking with Islughter. Danc­ing and games were resumed. After a much anticipated lunch the Judges gave their final decisions on the best costumes. Miss . Roberta Robinson, in a gay Dutch costume and Mr. Hyrum Henderson as a convincing Cossack were the lucky winners. After several more novelty dances 'the final number hustled the ghost and goblins off the scene for another year. Good old M.H.
