As the clock struck, the bartender was almost crushed to death. New Year’s Resolutions You Have No Chance At Keeping Start using Facebook for something other than Farmville and stupid quizzes. Lose 20 pounds by going to the gym! will read the manual... just as soon as I can find it. will think of a password other than "password". New Year’s Resolutions You Can Actually Keep Remember to brush teeth with bristly end of toothbrush. I want to gain weight. Put on at least 30 pounds. I will start buying lottery tickets at a luckier store. Stop exercising. Waste of time. Watch more T.V. I've been missing some good stuff. Watch less T.V. in standard definition. Gain enough weight to get on The Biggest Loser. Watch more movie remakes. Procrastinate more. I will balance my checkbook (on my nose). I will no longer waste my time relieving the past; instead I will spend it worrying about the future. Spend more time at work. His little boy was there, happy to welcome his daddy home, but the sack was barring the way and it was much bigger than the child. The father said to the child, “Move the sack so that we can open the door properly!” The little fellow tried to move the sack, but was unable to. “I can't, daddy, it's too heavy!” “Yes, you can!” his father replied, “Try again to shift it!” The child tried again, but still couldn't get the enormous sack to budge even a millimetre. “I can't, daddy,” he protested yet again. “Yes, you can!” the father insisted. The child made one last attempt, putting all his weight to the sack, but in vain. “Daddy, I tried with all my strength, I really did everything I could, but the sack is too heavy for me!” No, my boy, you haven't done everything you can.” The child looked at his father, puzzled. “You haven't done everything you can,” the father explained, “you didn't call on me for help.” How many times have you struggled under a heavy load - of guilt, of sorrow, of pain - and never thought to ask for help from your Father in Heaven to lessen the burden. Your Heavenly Father is available, at all times of the day and night, to listen to your story and to ease your burdens. Do not be so proud as to struggle under a burden that is too heavy for you to shift. Ask for help from your Father. Come unto me all that labour and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. Milo School’s Christmas Production on December 17 was “just the ticket” to kick off Christmas Spirit in the community. In response to a threat (of lack of re- election) Alberta Wild Rose politicians are showing themselves as at least as resourceful as any other animal, particularly in their ability to rationalize their actions. For the rest of us, we have just seen democracy in action. And if we want to exact any price for that behavior, we’ll have to learn to vote anything other than Conservative in big numbers.
