Bulmash: Rabbi Shalom Tzvi Goldbaum of Glusk (Lublin), entreats Rabbi Nathan Bamberger of Wurzburg, Germany, for financial assistance in order to marry off his daughter because the time has come to do so. Letter written in Hebrew, with Rabbi stamps in three different languages: Hebrew, Polish, and Russian. Rabbi Gold baum, who was born in 1867 in Hrubieszow, Lublin, Poland, but resided in Kiev, Ukraine, was one of the more than 33,700 Jews murdered in a single operation over a two day period at Babi Yar on September 29, 1941. Marched to the outskirts of Kiev in small groups, the victims were stripped, forced to lie in the ravine and machine-gunned.
