Mow realize what a big impact all of those people and those events have had on you. Host of us haye been in­fluenced forever by what has happened here this year; we should be thankful for that. v0ur school motto, "Each For All" was selected with care. It is a goal toward which we strive every single day of the school year. That is why, when you remem­ber your days at Hamilton School you will realize how valuable were the associa­tions you had with the students as well as the adults here. Hamilton is a people place and those of us who work together every day are proud of that. Remember that as you moye from here. Let the good things you learned here be influences on you and others next year and every year after that. Yearbook Dedication This yearbook is being dedicated to someone who has devoted 33 years to teaching and will be re­tiring at the end of June, 1981 - our librarian, Mrs. Jean Robertson. Her efforts in our library have often gone unnoticed by staff and students, mainly because of the efficient manner with which she has carried out her duties. Is it spirit if two hundred students are active booster club members? Is it if the pep rallies are the best they have been in several years? Is it if over 400 students and staff wear costumes on a dress- up day? Is it if we have two city championship teams after only two enter-school competitions? Is it if over twenty staff members regularly attend the school dances? Is it if the decorating committee spends over two hundred man hours decorating the gym for each dance? Is it if staff and students work hard and play hard together? Is school soirit any one of these by itself? I No! It is all of these things together. Does Hamilton have school spirit? You bet it does! When officially announced to me, it was a shock, but indeed a pleasant one. We are the last of the Hamilton students to ever have had Mr. Ken Smith for a principal and we're here to say good-bye to each other and to Hamilton. Many of us are reminiscing the good ole' times, like bugging our teachers to the breaking point. But for most of us our thoughts are of leaving this school, and going on to--senior high school. The mention of these words probably brings mixed emotions. We'll be leaving Hamilton Junior High School's comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, made this way by caring, understanding staff, ('cept during finals), by our good friends, and innumerable extra­curricular activities. We know that no matter where we go, Winston Churchill, L. C. I., or to a different district we'll always have Hamilton's backing and support. This environment that has shaped us will mean more capable, competent people for the future. This gives us the confidence to look forward to high school. We know, or at least we hope, that everyone graduating will be successful in the years to come. When we look back later, we'll each be able to say, "Hamilton, you were a terrific part of me. Thanks for the memories; thanks for everything." Who could forget the excitement, the fear, and the anxiety, which ac­companied us on our first day at Hamilton Junior High School. Barely in the door, we were involuntarily taken into the large gym, while seated around us were our friends, and classmates to be. We were soon greeted by our everloving principal, Mr. Smith , and then were herded into our home rooms in very short order. Grade 7 was a year of new experiences to which we had to adjust. During that first year we learned the true meaning of work, and maybe more importantly, how to avoid doing it. As the year came to an end we were, much to our dismay, introduced to the dreaded final exams. Over this final obstacle, we were extremely anxious to start Grade 8 with all our new found maturity and to be back with the teachers we all loved so much, (we'll expect the payment promised for the above statement in the morning, Mr. Dawson). In Grade 8 we were starting to get comfortable with the new administra­tive staff. Mr. Young encouraged us to be a part of the school and the spirit, instead of being an onlooker. Mr. Dawson, as our new Principal, soon introduced to us the many rules and regulations. And our new Vice- Principal, Mr. Lahti was always there to remind us of our numerous deten­tions in Room 25. Soon, but not soon enough for some, Grade 9 was finally here. We were soon watching our mighty stampeders, who were trying with all their might to carry on the tradition of the past year to complete this season with a perfect record of 0 wins and 9 losses. The volleyball season soon rolled around, and the senior girls fought to win the city championships. As for the boys, - no comment. The basketball season was a complete turnaround, the Hornets fought hard and were a contender all season. As for the girls - no comment. The dances and dressup days were a big success and were enjoyed by everyone. The year of Grade 9 is coming to a close. Grade 9 was a time when we were the leaders of the school. We were the oldest, smartest and supposedly the most mature. No that we're finishing Grade 9, I'm sure all of us have discovered that being the leaders wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Now looking forward to Grade 10 and High School we are still sorry to say goodbye to Hamilton to all of our experiences here. Thanks Hamilton it's been
