Realidad Virtual en la Educación el Próximo Desafío

Virtual reality is a very interesting topic, but quite far from us apparently the Latin American reality is too far to technological advances and therefore costs us understand how they serve educational purposes. This paper will seek to publicize what is virtual reality, how the peripherals used to use, works and of course educational implications in first world countries, and how we could in our country use these technologies with pilot programs that allow our children and young people supplement their knowledge. What role do smartphones in this concept and how companies like Google and Samsung are playing an important play in the popularization of these tools, although many see them as a game or fad, there is no doubt that within a few years will be very important in the educational field.La realidad virtual es un tema sumamente interesante, pero bastante alejado de nosotros al parecer, la realidad latinoamericana es bastante ajena a los avances tecnológicos y por ende nos cuesta acostumbrarnos a entender cómo éstos sirven a propósitos educativos. La presente ponencia buscará dar a conocer qué es la realidad virtual, cómo funciona, los periféricos utilizados para su uso, y por supuesto implicaciones educativas en los países del primer mundo, y cómo podríamos en nuestro país hacer uso de estas tecnologías con programas pilotos que permitan a nuestros niños y jóvenes complementar sus conocimientos . Qué rol juegan los smartphones en este concepto y cómo empresas como Google y Samsung están jugando un papel importante en la masificación de estas herramientas que, aunque muchos las ven como un juego o moda pasajera, no cabe duda que dentro de muy pocos años serán muy importantes en el ámbito pedagógico
