The role of the nurse in CPR is aimed at the cessation of cardiorespiratory faliure by participating in the resuscitation and stabilization of the patient, to achieve the restoration of circulation and spontaneous breathing. Constant learning, through training, courses, etc., has allowed the improvement of the skills and abilities of nurses to reduce not only mortality, but to reduce morbidity, sequelae and complications, especially in risk situations of the patient's life.
