We believe that most important factor for customer satisfaction is to supply stabilized beam without trouble. In other words, the role of operation and maintenance for accelerator is to minimize the occurrence of trouble during operation and the downtime for recovery. To achieve the goal, NIRS, National Institute of Radiological Sciences, in Japan has just started to monitor the performance of accelerator with parameter of Availability, Failure Rate and Human Error as a User’s happy index.
