Natural antioxidants having phenolic structures, such as vitamin E, catechin in green tea, and resveratrol in red wine, are known to show efficient scavenging activities against the reactive oxygen and nitrogen radicals. There are numerous reports, which show the strong antioxidative activities of these phenolic antioxidants in vivo and in vitro.
