Rhenium is one of the rarest elements in the earth crust and no data have been obtained for soil and plant samples. Recently, it has become possible to use high sensitivity ICP-MS and super pure reagents to measure low-level Re in soil and sediments [e.g., 1-3]. In this study, total and water soluble Re concentrations in soil samples and plant samples collected in 2000 and 2001 were determined to better understand Re mobility in the natural environment.International Symposium on Bio-Trace Elements 200
