Using the Helios supercomputer at IFERC-CSC, the MHD-PIC hybrid code MEGA has previously reproduced sequences of Abrupt Large Events (ALE) as observed in JT-60U. The analysis of the simulation data is currently underway, and the latest results are presented here. In particular, Poincaré analyses of the magnetic topology during ALEs have revealed that the wave-particle interactions that occur during ALEs can induce magnetic islands. Potentially important implications on the transport and confinement of the bulk plasma as well as energetic ions are discussed and connections with previous studies of runaway electrons are drawn.第7回 IFERC-CSC研究
