The atmospheric dispersion model (Tritium-EESAD) was modified so as to be able to predict tritium concentration in tissue-free water (TFWT) and in organically-bound tritium (OBT) in the food chain for agricultural and livestock environments. The modified model was validated by participating in the Hypothetical Scenario of IAEA EMRAS, an international program for environmental model inter-comparison. The objective of the scenario was to analyze the consequences of a hypothetical acute atmospheric release of 10g of tritium, by considering various pathways in terms of tritium activity in biosphere compartments and products as well as their contributions to total dose of human exposure.
