This report is one among four that represents an evaluation of Ohio s Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver program. This report examines the costs and characteristics of those individuals who enrolled in the assisted living waiver program during its initial implementation. Assisted living resident characteristics (demographic and functional) are compared to Medicaid nursing home residents and PASSPORT enrollees. The costs of assisted living residents are compared to nursing home residents in the same region of the state
