The question of the existence of a cognitive unit that integrates basic psychological processes, that is: cognition, emotions, and language, is raised in this paper. Usage of the concept of a basic unit of information processing (logon) in the form of a mathematical formula developed by D. Gabor in psychology is proposed here. It is inspired by views of K. Pribram and R. Llinas. Arguments for the existence of this unit in human psyche are presented, and its value for psychology is discussed here with reference to the concept of attention window, Gestalt, as well as J.
