Style mówienia o zadowoleniu a wybrane cechy osobowości kobiet

The objective of the research was to find and describe the speaking styles about emotions and to show their psychological mechanisms, especially in terms of neuroticism, anxiety, and depressiveness. In order to achieve these results the questionnaire methods (SF IPIP NEO-PI-R, BDI-II, STAI) as well as narrative methods have been leveraged. 71 adult women were examined by asking them to tell a certain story regarding contentment accordingly to the standardized instructions. The utterances have been analyzed by counting the occurrences of specific expressiveness indicators, and the gathered data have been subjected to the cluster analysis. It has been proven that women are using three speaking styles about contentment, named respectively “task-oriented”, “cheerful”, and “anxiety-depressive”. The “anxiety-depressive” style is characterized by multiple usages of negative emotional terms, negations, making distinctions and a higher number of paralinguistic phenomenons. This is the way how the cognitive biases specific for depression and increased emotional tension reveal. The conducted researches tend to show that the speaking style about emotions is an accurate reflection of the psychological traits.Celem badań było odnalezienie i opisanie stylów mówienia o emocjach oraz ukazanie ich psychologicznych mechanizmów, zwłaszcza w zakresie neurotyczności, lęku i depresyjności. Wykorzystano do tego celu metody kwestionariuszowe (SF IPIP NEO-PI-R, BDI-II, STAI) oraz metody narracyjne. Badaniami objęto 71 dorosłych kobiet, które opowiedziały historię na temat zadowolenia po usłyszeniu wystandaryzowanej instrukcji. Wypowiedzi zanalizowano poprzez zliczenie wystąpień określonych wskaźników ekspresywności, a uzyskane dane poddano analizie skupień. Wykazano, że kobiety stosują trzy style mówienia o emocjach, które określono jako zadaniowy, pogodny oraz lękowo-depresyjny. Styl lękowo-depresyjny charakteryzuje się używaniem większej ilości negatywnych określeń emocjonalnych, negacji, określeń wskazujących na dokonywanie rozróżnień, a także występowaniem większej ilości zjawisk paralingwistycznych. Ujawniają się w ten sposób przede wszystkim zniekształcenia poznawcze typowe dla depresji i wzmożonego napięcia emocjonalnego.
