The article presents the most important conditions that must be met in order to effectively prepare students for the profession of social worker. The author’s reflections are based on the experiences of Polish schools of social work from the last two decades of training and the experience developed on the basis of the education of students of social work at theInstituteofSociology,AdamMickiewiczUniversity.
