The biomedical applications of Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) radar system promise a very important means to remotely monitor physiological signal. Researchers have shown great interest in proposing analytical techniques to accurately predict the propagation of UWB pulse in tissues layers. This paper focuses the study of the propagation of a UWB pulse into a human body to characterize the absorption and reflection of UWB signal due to different layers. Several time behaviors for the reflected pulse were used and compared with the transmitted pulse to the feasibility of movement and heartbeat activity monitoring.
