Aspergillus flavus is known as the main producer of carcinogenic aflatoxins. The presence of this fungus and aflatoxins is an important impactson food safety, human and animal health. Peanut is one of the most important crops in Vietnam and is suitable to substrate for aflatoxins producing fungus growth. The isolation and identification of Aspergillus flavus species from peanut is an initial step for further study in Aflatoxins contamination control in peanut. 28 peanut samples selected in Luc Nam district - Bac Giang province were used for fungus isolation.
