Diversity in classrooms and its effects on students has increased in prevalence when discussing education reforms, especially given the rapid growth in diversity in American schools over recent years. In the context of this paper, diversity means a variety of factors, including: racial and ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic backgrounds, special populations, multilingual and multiculturalism, gender and sexuality, age, and cognitive differences among achieving students. These aspects all function as core elements of the discussion surrounding the methods of inclusion for diversity.
