Due to changes in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA, 2004), Curriculum-Based Measurement has expanded in its scope. This legislation established Response to Intervention (RtI) methods for use as prevention and early academic intervention to provide assistance to children who are having difficulty learning.
