Goal: figure out what the cultural impact and legacy was that African- American teachers/choreographers have on society and the dance world. Significance: Need to be informed of origin of the type of dance I am performing/choreographing. Contribution: Enabling myself to impact the dance world with a new perspective and dynamic. My research shifted from culture and legacy to what is black dance.
