McElroy-Edwards’s screen-prints were a method of sharing what she and the people of North Dakota hold sacred – the iconic landscapes. After 30 years of service, over 300 of her works remain at the University. McElroy-Edwards’s Dakota Suite takes multiple landscapes found within the Peace Garden State and illustrates them in comforting hues. Her color choices turn the Badlands and prairies of North Dakota into a unique and mesmerizing sight. These pieces work together to illustrate the beauty of our state.
