Background: Currently there are 15,941 centenarians in Spain (INE, 2015) more than twice the number than fifteen years ago. This represents 0.03% of the total population. In 2050 it is expected to reach 69,386.Objectives: To review the most relevant international studies in centenarians, from a biopsychosocial approach, published in scientific journals.
