The aim of this study is to propose the estimation method for size of useful field of view. In order toexamine parameters related to eye movement effective for estimating useful field of view in driving, we measuredeye movements and blinks during simulated driving. In the experiment, Head and eye movements were measuredat the same time to calculate the fixation point along global coordinate. The results shows following: (1) Theexperimental system was developed to measure the useful field of view in Head-free Condition. It was shown thatthe bigger the mental workload becomes, the smaller the useful field of view is.
