Recently, as tourism has started to be recognized as one of the main industries, the necessity of discussing the positioning of tourism in recovery processes has risen. Among the areas whose main industry before a disaster was tourism, there are places which failed to economically recover due to bad rumors. On the other hand, some communities have worked hard after a disaster and achieved regional development that went beyond economic recovery. Moreover, some places which had never been tourist sites have been focusing on tourism after a disaster.
