For clarifying the role of fog in the water resource of the mountain region of Dhofar, the quantitative relationship of rainfall amounts between under the open field and under the grove of Anogeissus dhofarica was investigated based on the meteorological observation from the late of July to the end of August in 1999. In the middle part of south slope in Jabal Qara, the total rainfall in August indicates only 22.5 mm, however, the total amount of drip water from branches and leaves amounts to 207 mm of above nine times of rainfall. The total amount of trunk flow was also assessed at 8 mm in term of rainfall.
