This photograph of a tree on state line was taken near the west end of Russell Field. The picture was made by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and one of the founders of the hiking club. The back of the photograph is stamped “Jim Thompson Co. Knoxville Master Photo Finishers,” indicating it was probably printed by hiking club member James E. (Jim) Thompson (1880-1976)
