Frances Louisa Goodrich (1856-1944) was among the first to promote a revival of weaving in the North Carolina mountains, having founded Allanstand Cottage Industries in 1896. Later, the shop moved to Asheville. The pattern is on the fourth page of the the sample book. It is tagged with the shop address in Asheville, and "Pattern Beautiful Waves".
