This photograph shows men hauling logs to be used in the construction of the Edward F. Worst Craft House on the campus of the Penland School of Handicrafts (now Penland School of Crafts). The building was named after the school's first weaving instructor, Edward F. Worst. The structure was erected during a community log-raising held in early May 1935. The photograph was taken by Bayard Wootten
