G. J. Huntley to Friends, July 16, 1862

In this letter of July 16, 1862, G. J. Huntley writes his friends from his location near Richmond, Virginia where he has just recovered from a “very sick spell” and where there are many sick men in low spirits. He talks about the price of food in the hospital and hopes that he will see them one day to tell them about what he saw on the battlefield.
