The textile industry, the third largest manufacturing sector in Italy, is one of the most impacting activities on a global level from an environmental point of view, both in relation to the processes that characterize the supply chain and in relation to pre- and post-consumer waste. In line with the policies of the European Commission [COM (2015) 614] and with the requirements of the Minimum Environmental Criteria for Public Procurement in Italy [DM. 11/10/2017], the article illustrates some researches fi nalised to the integration of pre-consumer textile waste into building products.
