Waste management and valorization in mining sector is one of the special issue of European Commission Strategies. The aims of this research is to develop a new Control Low Strength Material (CLSM) re-using sludge deriving from sawing ornamental stone blocks into slabs. One of the main problem related to sawing sludge is the metals content due to the cutting tools wear. One of the CLSM requirements is the dissipation of heat due to the electric cable of the road surface. In this context we want to exploit the chemical-physical properties of the mud to reuse it in a context in which a defect becomes a fundamental requirement.
