A computer‐based platform based on signal processing has been developed using a modular programming approach, to enable the selection and the processing of earthquake ground motion records. Structural engineers during the design phase use different specific applications to perform simple tasks such as correcting, filtering, displaying and comparing ground motion records, searching for seismic records that satisfy certain criteria such as spectral matching.
