Characters of The Rural Heritage in the Var

The study aims to analyze the architectural structures closely related to the agricultural world in the Var, with particular regard to all those accessories buildings in the service of land use. The landscape of Provence vert is composed of a mosaic of territories between them very different. Each of them has its own individuality which is determined by many factors and these include geographic configuration, culture, activities that take place there. But it can warrant recognize some recurring element that creates the unitary of the whole territory which identifies, for example, the organization of buildings for rural activities in the maintenance of agricultural land, forest and pasture with the use of materials found in site and using construction techniques of ancient memory that are handed down from generation to generation. It is noted that the work of man is always in harmonious relationship with the natural environment and respectful of its laws. Agricultural structures, abandoned or mutation of use, represent a point of reference for the evaluation of the characters and values of a territory. The analysis, aimed at the preservation of historical and cultural sites to allow us to acquire useful to identify strategies for upgrading a view to sustainability. The above also directs us towards the planning of possible tourist paths aimed at rediscovering the rural landscape understood as a laboratory of knowledge
