The use of orthonormal scaling functions, wavelets and wavelet packets for modulation has been recently proposed. In this paper we study the performance of the Meyer, Daubechies, biorthogonal Spline, Battle-Lemarie, and modied Gaussian] families of wavelets, for modulation over linear and non-linear channels, and we propose the use of wavelets for modulation over FDM non-linear satellite channels and for multicarrier modulation on satellite and multipath channels
