The influence of the presence of some acrylic monomers containing particular functional groups on the properties of a typical UV curable epoxyacrylic resin has been evaluated. The following types of functionalized monomers were examined: 1 — monomers containing free carboxylic groups; 2 — phosphorus acid derivatives; 3 — monomers containing alkoxysilane groups . When not available, the monomers were prepared and characterized in their structure and functionality. They vere added in a definite amount to the epoxy—acrylic resins; afterwards the system was cured by UV irradiation in the presence or a photoinltiator.
