In this paper we have givenan example of optimizing generation by using the method of Fuzzy linear programming. Fuzzy quantities capture the uncertainties in the various variables of generation expansion. This paper represents an effort in reverse engineering of one of the two classical Japanese works in the field of generation expansion planning. The programme was computer simulated using a standard optimization software and theresults obtained were identical to the results of the earlier papers
