This paper, which is the result of a previous investigation, exposes some of the discussions and tensions that lay the foundation for policies of equity and inclusion in the context of the fulfillment of the right to education. A critical analysis is made of, in particular, the focalization, compensation, massification and efficiency strategies, among other policies, which do not modify the inequitable social structures and, conversely, perpetuate and increase the social gaps, while also being unaware of the struggles to recognize human differences in their cultural, political and economic dimensions.
