This article presents, in the first part, how the social disciplines went originating since the 17th century by means of an alliance among national State and modern science as part of the modernity/coloniality matrix; then, it shows the diverse epistemological breaks of the social sciences arisen along the 20th century, which put in crisis its objects and methods; subsequently, it carries out a balance upon the social sciences in Colombia, highlighting how, by means of the practice and the curriculum, notions of subordination joined to the coloniality of the to knowledge and the power have been maintained; finally, this work proposes the categories of subject, time and space from a decolonial perspective, which are originated by the need to...
