This article presents developments in an ongoing investigation whose main theme is the training of physics teachers in Argentina. It conceives of teacher training as a part of a web of historically situated practices. Based on the contributions of Michel Foucault, especially his writings and lectures of the period 1978-1983, in this article we approach the characteristics of teaching regimes present in curricular documents of physics faculties and state documents on science teacher training.
