PREVENCIÓN DE DROGODEPENDENCIAS: INTERVENCIÓN EDUCATIVA VERSUS COMPORTAMENTAL

The main objective of the present research was to prevent and/or to postpone the start on the drug-taking (mainly tobacco, alcohol, medicines and cannabis) in non usual drug-takers seventh level of E.G.B. students. For that, two types of intervention were tested: Educational (formation-attitude change) versus Behavioral (Stuctured Social Skills Training). We have studied these variables: the information about different drugs, the drug-taking habits, the subjects attitudes toward drugs, the social skills to resolve properly the first offer in drug-taking situations, and the free time alternatives contrary to drug-taking. The intervention with the students showed to be more efficiency of Behavioral Program than the Educational Program and Control Group in the majority studied variables.El objetivo principal del presente trabajo de investigación fue prevenir y/o retrasar el inicio al consumo de drogas (fundamentalmente tabaco, alcohol, medicamentos y cannabis) en alumnos de 7º curso de E.G.B. aún no consumidores habituales. Para ello, se pusieron a prueba dos tipos de intervención: Educativa (formacióncambio de actitud) versus Comportamental (Aprendizaje Estructurado de Habilidades Sociales). Las variables estudiadas fueron: la información sobre las diferentes drogas, los hábitos de consumo, las actitudes de los sujetos hacia dichas sustancias, las habilidades sociales para resolver posibles situaciones de consumo centradas en la primera oferta, y las alternativas de tiempo libre contrarias al uso de drogas. La intervención con los alumnos demostró la mayor efectividad del programa Comportamental frente al Educativo y al Grupo Control (que no recibió ningún tipo de tratamiento) en la mayoría de variables estudiadas
