Robots have become essential in helping humans in every field. In particular, robots are used to do what a human cannot do with repeatability and accuracy, or in risky missions. Like many machines, robots are usually inspired by nature. For example, the motion of a snake allows crawling in tight spaces like pipes, caves, and under damaged structures. Snake robots would be perfect candidates for such missions including inspection of pipes, collapsed building, narrow spaces, and similar situations.
