This study is to investigate the factors influencing the positive attitude of residents in Sumenep towards tourism development of Gili Labak Beach. Using exploratory factor analysis, independent t-test and Anova to process 150 data from respondents measured by adopting with some adjustment of TIAS statements, this study found four factors influencing the residents’ attitude, namely: image of town (Factor 1), new job opportunity (Factor 2), possibility to raise buying-power (Factor 3) and more tourism destinations (Factor 4).
