The study examined the constraints, attitudes and the use of community resources by Social Studies teachers in the teaching of Social Studies. The field survey collected information on the constraints, attitude and use of community resources in the teaching of Social Studies in senior high school in the Tamale Metropolis. It revealed that majority of the teachers made little or no use of these resources in teaching. Also, inadequate funding, training, technological skills, and low teacher morale were identified as inhibiting factors to the effective use o these resources.
