This study examined institutional variables affecting the performance boys at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) examinations in Subukia District, Nakuru County. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The target population was 7,943 consisting of 7,886 boy students and 57 principals. The study drew a sample of 429 consisting of 366 students and 6 principals. Questionnaires were used to collect data from the students while the interview schedules were used to collect qualitative data from the principals.
