Eradicating Women Trafficking: A Religious Educational Perspective

Slavery and the slave trade have re-emerged in recent times in the form of trafficking in human persons, especially women and girls. Driven by the global demand for commercial sex, trafficking in women has given rise to a gigantic global industry. Only next to drugs and arms trafficking, women-trafficking is said to be the third largest trade in the world, turning over more money each year than the total of all military budgets in the world.
