Harold Pinter is the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature in the year 2004 for his contribution in the field of DRAMA. The type of drama to which he contributed his lot is known as THEATRE OF THE ABSURD. The same of the other writers of his times were Samuel Beckette, Eugene Ionesco, Kafka and others.
