Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) and Embedded SIM (eSIM) offer the possibility of supporting multiple subscription profiles within the same card. Only one of these subscriptions can be active at a given time. However, a single active subscription may not work well for acquiring citizens broadband radio service (CBRS), which is highly localized, with a user likely to have subscribed to multiple providers, each with a corresponding subscription. As a result, supporting opportunistic CBRS data connectivity requires the modem to switch CBRS profiles by deactivating the active profile and activating a new profile.
