Land filling is one of the most common ways of municipal solid waste (MSW) disposal in developing countries. Large quantity of methane gas is emitted from no-regulated municipal solid waste landfill to the atmosphere and recognized as an important contributor to global warming. Many researchers have been done with the purpose to estimate the quantity of generated methane gas, capture, utilize and to use of this energy source to produce electricity or heat, since then many models have been developed to calculate landfill gas generation.
