Fishery potential resource in Central Kalimantan is provided by public waterworks, river, lake and swamp which have large of fish supply. Fisherman used traditional tools that were made from bamboo and rattan surrounds their village before the existence of salambau to catch the fishes. The selection of the respondent sample was done in purposive way (intentional) towards the head of fisherman families in Kamipang. This research needs 23 families. The use of salambau as one of fishing gears does not exist yet in the level of disturbing aquatic ecosystem.
